How this works

What happens when a claim cannot be supported

The rule the assistant works to is cite or say so. Each generated claim carries the identifiers of the approved sources it rests on — or, where nothing supports it, an explicit reason it is unsupported. It does not fill the gap with plausible wording and leave a reader to discover the difference. Alongside drafting, the same operations cover rewriting, summarising, improving and translating existing text, each one taking the source material as an input rather than inventing it.
